Yes, you can create a free escrow account on Zedlocker in less than one minute. However, successful transactions on the escrow app attract a tiny service charge which can be split by the parties if they agree. 

Zedlocker will return the payment to the buyer if the seller defaults. The seller may face penalties or a permanent ban. Zedlocker charges a service fee only for successful transactions. Please note that tiny bank withdrawal charges may apply during refund as per your bank.

When the delivery timeline in the contract elapses, the buyer has 48 hours (2 days) to inspect and pick up their items. They may extend this period by an additional 24 hours to enable them inspect their items before confirmation. If the items are satisfactory, the buyer can immediately confirm this on our platform. If the items are not as agreed, the buyer can raise a dispute. If the buyer does not respond after multiple attempts to contact them (calls, texts, and messages from the seller and our customer care), the payment will automatically be released to the seller. Buyers are advised to respond promptly once sellers deliver.

To help cover the cost of administration, including network infrastructure, employee salaries and overheads, Zedlocker charges a small escrow service fee between on successful transactions. You will find the actual charges during your contract creation or acceptance. 

Scammers would generally not want to use ZEDLOCKER because the system does not release payment to them unless the buyer confirms that they have delivered the items. Sellers are also required to verify their businesses on ZEDLOCKER.

All ZEDLOCKER payments are processed with PCI/DSS Certified payment processors and all funds are safely held in a CBN-Licensed Deposit Money Bank.

The seller and buyer will decide who will pay or they can split the payment.
